This welcoming and inclusive environment is easily accessible by transit and is in a safe location for our patients and staff. The new centre has a beautiful, street-front presence in the heart of the community and helps reduce stigma for people seeking treatment. This means that for our patients, visits to the centre will be as routine as visiting other healthcare providers. SHN sees more than 10,000 referrals to our outpatient mental health programs annually, making the need for this centre crucial. Thank you for helping make this centre a reality for our most vulnerable patients in Scarborough. The renovations on the existing space began in the fall of 2023 and are now completed. Our mental health teams have moved in and have already begun treating patients.
